School Booking & Scheduling

Duration and Timings.

The Experience session lasts approximately 2 hours, although the duration may vary depending on the size of the group and the number of students attending. After the Booking our guides come to your school for a site camp survey determining the best place for the experience and necessary arrangements.

At Star Safari, our stargazing programs are primarily conducted at night, when students can experience the beauty of the stars, planets and deep sky objects through our telescopes. We carefully manage each session to ensure every student has the opportunity to observe and participate.

The Solar Rotation Program

A Year-Long Journey Through the Changing Sky

The night sky is constantly changing throughout the year. Different constellations, planets, celestial events and deep sky objects become visible as the earth moves around the Sun. To help students experience these seasonal changes firsthand, Star Safari has developed the Solar Rotation Program for schools and educational institutions.

This annual subscription program allows schools to receive one Star Safari Visit per School term, giving students the opportunity to observe and learn about the changing universe throughout the academic year.

Invitation to Stargazing Events and Workshops for all students in Astronomy clubs. Where after we give out Telescopes to best performs, reading materials to all students.

  • We identify and encourage enthusiastic students and teachers who may be interested in establishing an Astronomy Club within their school.
  • Through this program Star Safari aims to create a network of young explorers, critical thinkers and future scientists who are inspired by the wonders of the night sky.

 

 

Weather & Sky Conditions

Because Astronomy depends on clear skies, our weather & Sky conditions Team continuously monitors forecasts, cloud cover and moon phases. Schools will receive updates and recommendations on the best nights for observation, ensuring students enjoy the highest quality stargazing experience possible.

 

Availability & Reservations

School booking operations on a first come , first served basis. We encourage schools to check our availability calendar or directly contact our Reservations Team and reserve their preferred dates early, especially during peak school terms. 

 

Special Celestial Events

During significant astronomy events such as eclipses, planetary alignments, meteor showers or notable celestial appearances, our team can visit schools during the day  free for Schools and Institutions on our Solar Rotation program, a small outreach fee for the rest.
